CAREER MUSIC VIDEO
See music videos created by Mrs. Reed's Home and Careers class!
You will be finding photographs of your career at selected internet sites that have copyright friendly photos or from clip art. These pictures will then be assembled, with appropriate captions, to make an informative video about your career. Music will be added that enhances the visuals.
Your first step will be to create a storyboard using PowerPoint (remember, this is not a PowerPoint presentation, you are only using PP to organize your work.) Pictures, captions and web addresses will be assembled on the slides in the order you would like them to be in your finished video. Then all the pictures should be saved individually as a .jpg file on your hard drive. Be sure to name or number your pictures appropriately so you know which is which when you create your video.
When your pictures are all collected and saved you will be given a login and a password for your personal Animoto account where you will create your video.
The requirements for the visual project:
° 1 opening slide (set the stage for your career show)
° 4-7 photographs with captions that provide information about your chosen career
° 1 photograph with caption to inform the viewer of the educational requirements (2 years, 4 years, graduate degree several years of college, high school diploma, vocational school, on the job training)
° 2-3 pictures and captions identifying the personal characteristics suitable for the career (patience, good communicator, problem solver, organized)
° 1-3 photographs and captions that suggest job opportunities within this career choice
Cartoonist: weekly comic strip creator, political cartoons, comic book creator )
° 3 photographs and captions that provide information of related jobs to the one that has been selected. (Artist: jewelry designer, Art teacher, illustrator, graphic designer)
° Picture credit slide (Let the viewer see where the images came from)
° Final image is a photograph or some other image that ties your project together
You may include additional pictures about your career.
Be sure to include captions identifying each picture as you collect them since you will be adding text to your video (be careful of spelling).
Copy the web addresses for your pictures to include on your picture credits. If you use several pictures from the same website, you may use the general address for all those pictures (see below).
