The Lion, the Witch and the WardrobeBefore I started this book I had already seen the movie. This book starts out as just a regular game of hide-n-seek. Then Lucy, the youngest, goes into a wardobe goes all the way to the back. Then feels something brushing up and down her back. She turns around and finds out it is a tree branch, and next to that tree branch was a lamp post. Lucy went further to find herself meeting a faun. This fauns name was Mr. Tumnus. He asked her to come to his house, and she did. He gave her some tea and cookies, and after that Mr.Tumnus played a magical song that made her....... |

Now You See It--I found this novel to be very fun to read. The transitions between scenes were well executed by Vivian Vande Velde. The story was very understandable and fluent as well as witty and fun. She uses great vocabulary that allows you to create a mental picture of what's going on in each scene and what each character looks like. |

Now You See It--Have you ever wondered if fantasy worlds really exist and if people around you could just be in disguise? Now You See It is a great book that can keep your dream alive about believing in other worlds. The best part of the book, in my opinion was Wendy's relationship with her grandmother and how it changes throughout the book. The relationship was very heart-warming for me; however, other people may enjoy the more violent part involving Wendy's former crush Julian towards the middle of the book. I would definitely recommend this imaginative and adventurous book to other high school students because I think that this book is very compelling and really makes you think and it is also very appropriate for our age group.

A Fate Totally Worse Than DeathThe story A Fate Totally Worse Than Death, by Paul Fleischman, is not the type of book I necessarily enjoy reading. It might be an okay book for some people. But I personally thought it was lacking something important. I don’t really recommend this book to high school students. The plot isn’t very well thought out. If you’re looking for something that makes you think, then don’t read this. I would recommend this book to someone looking for a quick, easy read. There are a lot of people who would find this parody funny. Once you get passed the idiocy of many of the characters, it’s pretty funny. |

The NotebookThe part I like best in this book is how they meet and how they show their love for one another. Their love is like no other. It is unique and touching and has it's own meaning. Their was no part of the book that I didn't like or couldn't relate to. Nicholas Sparks really shows how one couple can get through the hard times of love and have fun with the good times. If your the kind of person who likes a relaxing, understanding and relating book, I would recommend this book for you. |

CrashHave you ever wondered what its like to be a new kid at a new school? The comedic book Crash by Jerry Spinelli explains how this feels and writes an oustanding book. John Coogan, also know as Crash, lived in a small town in the state of Pennsylvania. Crash had been outside when a geeky kid came walking down the sidewalk and said "hi my name is Penn Webb." From this point on Crash did not like penn and did everything possible to terrorize him. A couple years past and then there was a new kid in town. His name was Mike but Crash had liked mike and they were now new best friends. But there was one problem, these two boys together was not a good thing. These boys picked on and hurt webb as much as they possibly could. Crash starts realizing life when his great grandfather Scooter has a stroke in the back yard. Crash then realizes how mean he has been. Crash has had one big experiance in this book and I would recommend this book to many high school students because i think it was well written. Overall I thought this book was pretty good, My favorite part was when Crash broke the touchdown record in football for his school. I would have to say my least favorite is the ending because i think they should have ended this book in a different way. Will Crash become good friends with penn webb, read this great book to find out |

Now You See It--Have you ever resented wearing glasses? Then this book is for you because Wendy feels the same way. Now You See It is an adventurous book full of magic and dragons. The best part of the book is the relationship that Wendy has with her grandmother. At first she dose not enjoy her grandmother's company, but gradually she starts to appreciate her. The worst part of the book for me was the first couple chapters when Wendy was complaining about having glasses. I did really enjoy this book and I think anyone in to magic and fantasy would also really enjoy this book. |

CrashI think Crash by Jerry Spinelli is a humorous comedy that also has many elements of realistic fiction. it creates a feeling that you personally know the characters. But it introduces them and tells their story in a very suspensful, comical way. I would recommend this comedy to any young adults that are looking for a funny, realistic fiction. |

The NotebookHave you ever been in love, or found yourself in a love triangle? In this realistic fiction novel by Nicholas Sparks, Allie, Noah, and Lon go through a spontaneous, passionate, and surreal journey of love. My favorite part of the book was the ending and how this love dispute is settled. My least favorite part is when Allie meets Lon because it made me wonder "What about Noah?". i would recomend this book to everyone, boys and girls, because it is a timeless tale of love that everyone can relate to. |
