What do think your life life would be like if you could see things that normal people could'nt see? In the fantasy novel Now you see it by Vivian Vande Velde, the main character, Wendy, discovers a pair of vintage mirrored sunglasses in her front yard. In the following days Wendy begins to see strange things through these glasses: the living dead, little blue creatures, ugly witches and elves, just to name a few. This novel combines wit, suspense, magic, and relatability with an exquisite presentation to create a story for middle and high schoolers to enjoy.

I found this novel to be very fun to read. The transitions between scenes were well executed by Vivian Vande Velde. The story was very understandable and fluent as well as witty and fun. She uses great vocabulary that allows you to create a mental picture of what's going on in each scene and what each character looks like.
